Governor Jerry Browns Plan To Produce Half A Million Jobs -antik

Careers-Employment During his campaign, Governor Jerry Brown, of California, created an ambitious plan that will give many people the opportunity of gaining employment in the renewable energy sector. On his campaign website, he has laid out the plan which identifies what his goals are. Now that he has been sworn into his seat in Sacramento, Californians are waiting to see if and when his plans will be set into motion. "My goal is that by 2020, California should produce 20,000 new megawatts (MW) of renewable electricity, and also accelerate the development of energy storage capacity. California can do this by aggressively developing renewables at all levels: small, on-site residential and business systems; intermediate-sized energy systems close to existing consumer loads and transmission lines; and large scale wind, solar and geothermal energy systems. At the same time, California should take bold steps to increase energy efficiency," .mented Governor Brown. "Below is my plan to get us there. It will produce a half a million new jobs in research, development, manufacturing, construction, installation, and maintenance over the next decade," continued Governor Brown. 1. Build 12,000 MWs of Localized Electricity Generation a) California should develop 12,000 megawatts of localized energy by 2020. Localized energy is on-site or small energy systems located close to where energy is consumed that can be constructed quickly (without new transmission lines) and typically without any environmental impact. b) Solar systems of up to 2 megawatts should be installed on the roofs of warehouses, parking lot structures, schools, and other .mercial buildings throughout the state. c) Solar energy projects up to 20 megawatts in size should be built on public and private property throughout the state. For example, we should create the California Solar Highway by placing solar panels alongside our state highways. d) The California Public Utilities .mission (CPUC) or Legislature should implement a system of carefully calibrated renewable power payments (.monly called feed in tariffs) for distributed generation projects up to 20 megawatts in size. Holding down overall rates must be part of the design. Governor Brown stated that he wants solar systems installed in warehouses, parking lot structures, schools, .mercial buildings, and highways. The renewable energy sector is a fairly new, up and .ing industry, therefore many looking for employment may not have the qualifications of installing solar panels. Governor Brown’s move towards a cleaner, greener economy necessitates a motivated workforce that wants to receive solar panel installation certifications in order to get started on his goals. In order to be.e a part of the motivated workforce, one must takes the first step into receiving adequate training because solar panel installation is no easy job. Knowing the technology and installation methods is crucial to being an effective worker that the green economy asks for. The American Institute of Renewable Energy (AIRE) is one of the most qualified institutes in the United States that gives the best instructors and materials in solar training. The American Institute of Renewable Energy (AIRE) is located in southern California and offers free solar training seminars to introduce those new to the renewable energy field. By attending this solar training school and receiving a solar panel installation certificate, one will be ready to take on the challenges of Governor Brown’s plan. Half a million jobs will be up for grabs, and in an economic recession, receiving the right training in imperative. About the Author: The American Institute of Renewable Energy (AIRE) is an Alternate Energy Research, Development Training, and Technology .pany.
